Sticky Cards
A scroll-stacking deck where direct-child cards stick at a top offset so later cards slide up and stack over earlier ones, with an optional scroll-driven depth scale-down.
Preview
First
Scroll to stack the cards.
Second
Each card sticks at the top offset.
Third
Later cards slide up and cover earlier ones.
Fourth
Covered cards scale down for depth where supported.
Controls
Device view renders in an isolated frame so real responsive breakpoints apply. Switch to Full for overflowing popovers.

Guidance
Expressive and showcase effectSupport brand expression or a showcase moment.
Use when
- Use only when visual expression supports storytelling, brand differentiation, or a clear showcase moment. Do not place heavy effects in task-dense workflows where clarity, speed, and readability matter more.
Avoid when
- Avoid using sticky-cards as a default simply because it is available in the library. Choose it only when its interaction cost, visibility, and behavior match the job to be done.

Accessibility & localization

Keyboard focus-visible
Localized labels
- Accessibility target: wcag-2.2-aa-target.
- Uses semantic HTML and a stable
data-slotattribute for styling/scripting hooks. - Focus-visible rings use the
ringtoken so keyboard focus is always visible. - Disabled and invalid states are conveyed to assistive tech, not by color alone.
- Targets WCAG 2.2 AA; verify contrast in light, dark, admin and customer surfaces above.
- Labels go through
__()and the component uses logical properties (ms-*,text-start,start-*) so it mirrors correctly — flip the preview to RTL to confirm.
