# Brok UI block: Review Form (`product-reviews-write`)
A write-a-review form with an accessible star-rating fieldset, title and body fields with a character hint, a recommend choice and reviewer identity fields.
Brok UI is a Laravel Blade registry. `ui:add` copies this block into the app as plain Blade the app owns; it composes installed `<brok:*>` primitives and semantic design tokens.
## Install
```bash
php artisan ui:add blocks/product-reviews-write
```
## Render it
```blade
<x-blocks.product-reviews-write />
```
## Props
- `action` (string, default `#`) — Form submission URL.
- `product-name` (string, default `this product`) — Product name interpolated into the description copy.
- `max-chars` (int, default `500`) — Maximum character count allowed in the review body, shown in the field hint.
## Use when
- Collecting a new product review through a server-submitted form with a star-rating fieldset, title, body, a recommend choice and reviewer identity fields.
- Use when you need a standalone write-a-review page or panel that posts to a backend action.
## Avoid when
- Needing to display existing reviews rather than collect a new one; use product-reviews-summary or product-reviews-list instead.
## Rules
- Render the installed block with `<x-blocks.product-reviews-write />` and pass data through its props; edit the copied file only for structural changes.
- Keep the semantic design tokens (`bg-background`, `text-muted-foreground`); never swap in raw colour utilities.
- Keep the `data-slot` attributes and the logical (start/end) spacing so the markup still mirrors under `dir="rtl"`.

Guidance
Use when
- Collecting a new product review through a server-submitted form with a star-rating fieldset, title, body, a recommend choice and reviewer identity fields.
- Use when you need a standalone write-a-review page or panel that posts to a backend action.
Avoid when
- Needing to display existing reviews rather than collect a new one; use product-reviews-summary or product-reviews-list instead.
Anti-patterns
- Do not replace semantic props with conflicting utility classes.
- Do not remove labels, focus styles, or state attributes.
- Anatomy
Usage
Render the block as a component, passing data where useful:
<x-blocks.product-reviews-write />
Built from primitives
This block composes installed <brok:*> primitives and semantic design
tokens only — it does not reimplement any primitive. Re-theme it (light, dark, admin, customer) by
editing CSS variables; flip the preview to RTL to confirm it mirrors.
Source
The exact, editable file ui:add writes
into your app. The preview above renders this same source — there are no preview-only blocks.
